MANAGEMENT SKILLS

The skills to enable you to manage contribution through others

Management Skills Programme

Management Skills Learning Objective

To lead and manage your team differently in order to contribute more to the success of the business.

What makes you an exceptional manager?

Exceptional managers are disciplined and creative, strategic and focused, tuned into people and motivated by the greater good. They keep learning and always contribute through others.

What you’ll learn on the management programme

During the course of a one-year in-house programme you will learn leadership and management skills including how to:

  1. Develop and cascade a motivating team purpose and create meaningful goals

  2. Prioritise work and manage your time effectively

  3. Create and maintain a high-performing team

  4. Coach, give feedback and delegate effectively

  5. Develop trusting relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers and customers

  6. Collaborate with peers

  7. Network well and actively manage your reputation

  8. Think and plan strategically.

Why is this management course so powerful?

  • It's EFFECTIVE - the backbone of the programme is one to one Contribution Coaching which gives you the tools, confidence and long-term support needed to change
  • It's AGILE - every programme is tailored and flexible to suit your team's ongoing needs
  • It's WELL FOUNDED - the Contribution Curve provides sound, well researched underpinning.

Improving Contribution

Performance is what your team does – their activity.

Contribution is the difference they make – their value-added.

Typical elements of the Management programme include:

  1. A kick off including a self-assessment and personal Growth Plan

  2. Around 10 1:1 executive Contribution Coaching sessions with an independent, dedicated Treehouse coach via telephone or virtually

  3. Virtual or face-to-face workshops on specific topics based on the team's needs such as Purpose and Impact, Courageous Conversations, Coaching skills, Creating Culture and Collaboration skills.

  4. Action Learning Sets to unblock issues encountered when implementing new ways of working and creating change

  5. Final Springboard workshop to review and reflect on your journey and plan for the future.

What will the Management Skills Programme be like?

  • It's in-house, interactive, enjoyable and refreshing, with just the right balance of support and challenge
  • Target Audience: Leaders, managers and team leaders. Whole teams in natural working groups
  • Duration: Approximately 1 year - dependent on the needs of the delegate, the programme design and the progress of the individual.
Unlike many leadership development approaches previously experienced, the Treehouse team brought the best out of my leadership team in understanding how they collectively contribute to the organisation.
